EDITORIAL

As our nation paused to remember that tragic day 6 years ago, when clear blue skies rained horror and destruction on America, YAFWatch wanted to take a moment to remember those who were most impacted bythe attacks. We honor the people who died as the Towers fell, or in the Pentagon, or in a lonely field in Pennsylvania.
We are reminded that part of the reason this attack on America was so painful was because we lost so many people who made up the rich tapestry that is American diversity. We remember the missing posters fluttering in the wind along the fence outside groundzero. These were the faces of America-- African Americans, Latinos, Asians, Christians, Gays, Straights, Muslims, Jews and hundreds more. They all died Americans.
So we, at YAFWatch, pause to remember how the fabric of the tapestry ofAmerica was ripped open on a clear day in September-- and how America came together and healed that tapestry. We can only pray that the unity of America in the days and weeks following 9-11 can be restored, renewed and reinvigorated to include all of America once again inmaking America the great melting pot it was, is and will always be.
